Fire affected communities need our help. The devastating bushfires continue to burn with no immediate end in sight.
Our thoughts go out to everyone affected. The fires have severely impacted lives, communities, and wildlife across the country.
As we enter 2020 we hear more and more about New Year resolutions. Some very popular resolutions include working out, getting organized, saving money and taking better care of our health.
While these are all great resolutions and definitely worth making, it is rare that we hear a resolution about making dental health a priority in the New Year.
At Dr. Sachdeva’s Dental Surgery, we believe one of the best resolutions that you can make is to take care of your teeth and we have a few suggestions as to how you can achieve that.
All of us here at Dr Sachdeva’s dental clinic would like to take this opportunity to wish all our patients a happy holiday and season’s greetings.
Over the holiday season, we see an increased number of people looking for dental help, partly because the holidays aren’t always as good to our smiles as they are to our spirits and tastebuds.
At Dr Sachdeva’s dental clinic would like to take a minute to remind our patients to wish their Dads a very happy Father’s Day on Sunday, September 1st.
When they open our gifts, our Dads deserve big smiles of happy surprise on Father’s Day. But oftentimes we have a predictable “Father’s Day Gift” routine.
August is upon us again, and with it comes Australian Dental Health Week (5th-11th).
The first full week of August is the week the Australian Dental Association has designated for widening the discussion of oral health in Australia.
Each year it is estimated that some 6 million deaths are caused by tobacco consumption across the globe.
And while we often think of cigarettes in this regard, the fact is that ALL tobacco consumption is an immediate threat to overall and dental health.
The Australian Dental Association reports that 16% of the adult population has only a few teeth to smile with.
Your situation may not be that severe— perhaps you’ve only lost one tooth due to an accident.
But even a single missing tooth can harm the health of underlying bone or other teeth — and it can take a heavy toll on your social and work lives.
Pregnancy is a very special time in a woman’s life. There are many things to plan for and a multitude of details to take care of. But in all the excitement of pregnancy and childbirth a woman should be sure take care of their dental health and that of their babies.
Happily, though some treatments and medications are better avoided in the first three months, most routine treatment is perfectly safe during pregnancy.
To ensure safe dental treatment during pregnancy, let your dentist know you are pregnant.
